When facing moments of grief it is all too easy to feel overwhelmed, which is why I am here to guide you through the process of healing. As a Celebrant, I work hand in hand with my clients in order to dig deep and discover what is truly important. I then spend countless hours combining their words with poetry, music, readings, and rituals in order to create a ceremony that is completely authentic. So, if you are looking to navigate through difficult times and/or honor the life of a loved one, I’m here to help.
I start every consultation off with a no-obligation phone call in order to tell you a little more about myself and what I have to offer. If I seem like a good fit, we will meet together in the place that you feel the most at ease in order to get to know each other and draw out the stories and emotions that will guide me through the creation of your ceremony. We will also discuss some of the details and elements you would like to include in the ceremony. After time spent talking to you and loved ones, I will research and write your ceremony in a way that stays true to your memories. You are given complete control over the ceremony script from beginning to end and nothing is said without your final approval. On the day of the ceremony, I will arrive early in order to make sure all of the ritual props are in place and gather everyone together in order to create a comforting space to heal and remember. As your celebrant, I promise to work with you in order to create a handcrafted ceremony that will be well received by all in attendance.
I am also honored to work with my clients to facilitate an open dialogue about facing death and what death and dying mean to us as a society. As both a Celebrant and Anthropologist, I am well versed in the good death movement and facilitate death cafes in my community in order to provide the education and support needed to make peace with our own mortality.
